Post-service maintenance tips
Keep your freshly corrected paint looking flawless for as long as possible. A few habits go a long way.
- Wait 7 days before the first wash to allow the sealant to fully cure
- Hand wash every 1-2 weeks using the two-bucket method
- Dry with a clean, plush microfiber towel — never air dry or chamois
- Use a pH-neutral car shampoo (e.g. Chemical Guys Mr. Pink, Adam's Car Shampoo)
- Top with a spray sealant or quick detailer every 4-6 weeks for added gloss
- Avoid automatic brush car washes — they re-introduce swirl marks

Paint Correction FAQ
Which paint correction is right for me?
What is 1-Step Paint Correction?
A single pass with a light compound/polish that removes minor swirl marks, light oxidation, and surface imperfections. It restores gloss and clarity without removing much clear coat.
Best for
- Daily drivers with light swirl marks
- Cars maintained regularly but lost some gloss
- Budget-conscious owners wanting a noticeable improvement
- Prepping for a ceramic coating on newer paint
What is 2-Step Paint Correction?
A two-stage process: first a cutting compound removes deeper defects (heavy swirl marks, scratches, oxidation), then a fine polish restores a flawless, mirror-like finish. Far more transformative than a 1-step.
Best for
- Vehicles with noticeable swirl marks, holograms, or dull paint
- Cars that haven't been corrected in years
- Show cars, weekend toys, or vehicles heading to shows/sale
- Anyone wanting the deepest, wettest gloss possible

Why Ceramic Coating
The benefits of going ceramic.
Ceramic is the longest-lasting, best-looking paint protection short of PPF. Here's what it actually does for your vehicle.
Hydrophobic surface
Water beads and sheets off, taking dirt with it. Washing takes a fraction of the time.
UV & oxidation protection
Blocks UV rays that fade and dull your paint over the years.
Chemical resistance
Shields against bird droppings, tree sap, road salt, and bug splatter etching the clear coat.
Deep, mirror-like gloss
Adds a wet, glassy candy-shell look that wax simply can't match.
Easier maintenance
Contaminants don't bond to the surface — most dirt rinses right off.
Years of protection
Outlasts wax by years. Our coatings range from 2-3 years up to lifetime.
How to care for your ceramic coated vehicle
Your coating is doing the heavy lifting — but a few simple habits will keep it performing like day one for years.
- Wait 7 days after application before washing or exposing to rain
- Hand wash only — never use automatic brush car washes
- Use a pH-neutral, ceramic-safe shampoo (avoid degreasers and APCs on the coating)
- Two-bucket method with a clean microfiber wash mitt
- Dry with a plush microfiber drying towel to prevent micro-scratching
- Apply a ceramic boost/topper spray every 2-3 months to refresh hydrophobics
- Book your free follow-up wash (10+ year package) and annual maintenance checks
Ceramic Coating FAQ
Common questions.
What exactly is a ceramic coating?
A liquid polymer (SiO2-based) that chemically bonds to your clear coat, forming a semi-permanent protective layer that's much harder and more durable than wax or sealant.
How long does it last?
Depending on the package, anywhere from 2-3 years up to a lifetime warranty. Real-world longevity also depends on how the vehicle is washed and stored.
Does it prevent scratches and rock chips?
No coating is bulletproof. Ceramic adds hardness and helps resist light swirl marks, but it won't stop deep scratches or rock chips. For impact protection, PPF (paint protection film) is required.
Do I still need to wash my car?
Yes — but washing is much easier and faster. Dirt and contaminants don't bond to the coating, so most of it rinses right off.
Can I wax over a ceramic coating?
You don't need to, and you shouldn't — wax sits on top and clogs the hydrophobic properties. Use a ceramic-specific boost/topper instead.
Why does paint need to be corrected first?
Ceramic locks in whatever's underneath. Any swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation will be sealed in for the life of the coating, so we polish them out first.
